一种节省能量的水声通信MAC层协议

摘要:简要分析了目前在传感器网络中有关节能的研究成果,介绍了水声通信网的基本特征,在已有的节能MAC协议的基础上,提出了一种适合于水声通信的基于节点休眠的自同步MAC协议,称为PEMACBLS (Power-efficient MAC based on Locally Synchronization),该协议不需要全网同步和统一调度,也不需要RTS/CTS握手机制,节点只需要在初始化的时候监听周围节点的周期信息,通过自身的同步在指定的时间接收邻居节点的分组信息。分析和仿真结果表明该协议在单个节点的平均一跳节点邻居数为4到6个时,能够有限地减少由于分组碰撞带来的能量消耗,延长网络寿命。如果能够把网络拓扑控制与本协议有机地结合起来,本文提出的MAC协议将会有更好的适用性。

A MAC Protocol for Saving Energy of Underwater Acoustic Networks
Abstract:This paper briefly reviews the main achievements about the energy-saving in the sensor networks for the moment, and also introduces the characteristics of underwater acoustic networks. Based on the MAC protocol for saving energy, we proposed a MAC protocol with node sleeping and reducing collision, which we called PEMACBLS(Power-efficient MAC based on Locally Synchronization).Our protocol don’t need synchronous in the whole network, nor RTS/CTS handshaking, nodes only need to hear the information of its neighbor during the initial cycle period and wake up at a exactly time to hear its neighbors through its own synchronization. It’s shown that our protocol can effectively decrease the energy consumption due to packet collision and extend the life of whole network, when an average number of 1-hop neighbors is from 4 to 6. Our protocol may have better applicability if we can combine this protocol with topology control in UWANs.
