Abstract:In this paper two (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equations, the Boiti-Leon-Manna-Pempinelli equation and Calogero equation, are investigated and the bilinear Backlund transformations and Lax pairs of them are obtained by using the Hirota direct method and symbolic computation. Those two equations have the similar linear terms and the same nonlinear terms with different coefficients. Such difference in the coefficients causes different results out of those two equations with the same method.
