An Improved NLMDF Algorithm with Critical Damping

Abstract:We propose an NLMDF-based adaptive algorithm, improved nonlinear multi-degree-of-freedom with critical damping (INLMDF-CD) algorithm. The underlying idea is to assimilate the adaptive modeling process of iteration for the optimal solution to a particle’s moving under the critical damping condition on the mean-square error (MSE) surface geometry, which is imagined to be located in the gravitational field. The new algorithm is derived by incorporating a damping force matrix in the particle movement differential equation to make all modals working under the critical damping condition. The simulation results show a faster rate of convergence for the new algorithm as compared with NLMDF algorithm with a colored noise input signal.

一种基于临界阻尼理论的快速NLMDF算法
摘要:本文提出了一种改进的NLMDF算法-INLMDF-CD算法(Improved Nonlinear Multi-Degree-of-Freedom with Critical Damping)。 其基本思想是将把自适应建模过程类比为重力场中MSE超曲面上质点的临界阻尼运动。通过构造一个临界阻尼力矩阵并引入到质点运动微分方程当中,实现质点的各个模态的临界阻尼运动 。仿真结果表明,在相关信号输入的情况下,新算法的收敛速度远远快于NLMDF算法。
