摘要:本文提出了一种用于指纹图像增强的匹配滤波方法。首先构造一组与纹线方向和宽度相关的滤波器,然后根据指纹图像中局部纹线方向和宽度选择相适应的滤波器进行滤波,最终实现去除噪声和增强峰谷对比度的目的。实验表明,本文的方法可以有效去除纹线粘连并连接断纹,从而实现指纹图像的增强,提高特征点提取的准确性。

A Method of Fingerprint Image Enhancement Based on Matched Filter
Abstract:In this paper we proposed a method based on matched filter for fingerprint image enhancement. We construct a set of filters matched with the local ridge orientation and local ridge frequency. Then convolve the fingerprint image with the matched filter for removing noisy and increasing the contrast of ridges and valleys. Experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm is effective in removing ridge conglutination and connecting the breaks and discontinuities of the ridges, and finally improving the accuracy of the minutiae extraction.
