基于小波变换的遥感图像压缩算法

摘要:随着遥感图像的广泛应用,为了有效地对遥感数据进行传输和存储,急需有效的图像压缩方法。本文分析了目前遥感图像压缩的现状,研究了嵌入式零树小波编码(Embedded Zerotree Wavelets - EZW 编码)算法,同时提出了优化的方法。实验结果证明小波变换是一种压缩比高,压缩速度快的一种图像压缩方法。

An Algorithm of Remotely Sensed Image Compression Based on Wavelet Transform
Abstract:With the extensive application of remotely sensed images, in order to effectively carry out transmission and storage of remote sensing data, it needs effective image compression method urgently. This paper analyses the current status of remotely sensed image compression, studies the algorithm of Embedded Zerotree Wavelet encoding (EZW). At the same time, the optimization method is proposed. The experimental results show that wavelet transform is a kind of image compression methods of high compression ratio and fast compression.
