Fabrication and oxygen sensing characteristics of limiting current ZrO2 oxygen sensors with LSrMO dense diffusion barrier

Abstract:Mixed electronic and oxygen ion-conduction solid diffusion barrier LaCaMnO3 was prepared by high-temperature solid-phase synthesis. Yttria (8% in molar fraction) stabilized zirconia (YSZ) with high density (ρ>5.8g/cm3) and high conductivity(σ>10-2s/cm) was fabricated by chemical coprecipitation method. Experimental results show that the complex oxygen sensors obtain excellent and stable limiting current platform characteristics from 0% oxygen concentration to ambient air oxygen partial pressure, and the magnitude of limiting current was in a exponential relation with the concentration of oxygen gas at 650 to 750 ℃. The new type sensors with simpler planar structure, faster time response and lower cost can be manufactured for the practical application.

摘要:通过固相法合成LaCaMnO3致密扩散障,化学共沉淀法制备得ρ>5.8g/cm3,σ>10-2s/cm的YSZ。实验显示,这种复合型氧传感器具有稳定的电流平台,在650-750℃下,极限电流值与氧浓度具备指数关系。这种结构简单,响应快,成本低的材料将会得到广泛的应用。
