A Space-Time CDMA System over MIMO Rayleigh Fading Channels

摘要:We proposed a simple construction of spreading matrices for space-time CDMA systems with BPSK signals. The construction suggests cutting a sequence of the conventional CDMA system into several segments, and then assigning them to spread one-user‘s signal at different transmitting antennas. If the sequences are independent linearly, the error floor of BER does not appear, and of course, receive diversity can be achieved. Moreover, if we choose proper sequences, full transmitting diversity order is achieved probably. We simulate the space-time CDMA system with the spreading matrices constructed by cutting M-sequence. The BER performance of this system with likelihood ascent search (LAS) multiuser detector is beyond BER of V-BLAST system with maximum likelihood (ML) detector. In some cases, the BER curves have full transmit diversity order as well as they are near to the least upper bound of BER derived by D. Chen et al in 2004.
