摘要:越来越多的研究证据显示C-反应蛋白(CRP)在与心血管疾病相关的炎症过程中扮演着重要角色。然而,CRP在其中发挥作用的机制尚不清楚。我们提出单体CRP(mCRP)是在局部炎症病理中其主要作用的CRP异构体,而不同CRP异构体之间的交互作用则使此蛋白能够作为多种细胞应答的精细调控因子。

Differential contributions of C-reactive protein isoforms in inflammation
Abstract:Emerging evidence indicates that C-reactive protein play roles in inflammation associated with development of cardiovascular diseases. However, the underlying mechansims by which CRP participates into the pathophysiologic process remain elusive. Here, we propose that modified or monomeric CRP is the major CRP isoform that operates in local inflammation. Differences in the biological profiles and regulated interplay of distinct CRP isoforms may provide means by which this acute phase protein functions to finely modulate cellular responses.
