脉冲电磁场促进骨折愈合的研究进展

摘要:脉冲电磁场可有效促进骨折愈合并已成功应用于临床,经过近四十年的发展,脉冲电磁场作为一种非侵入的治疗方法取得了非常好的效果。本文通过细胞实验研究、动物实验研究、临床应用研究、作用机理四方面综述了脉冲电磁场促进骨折愈合的研究进展,分析了影响脉冲电磁场作用效果的各种因素,并在此基础上介绍了此方面研究中还需进一步探讨的问题,以及脉冲电磁场用于治疗骨折的应用前景。

Research progress of Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMFs) on Fractures Treatments
Abstract:Fracture is a kind of common disease in clinical field, but there are many difficult and complicated cases such as bone nonunion. The traditional treatment relies on bones transferring or internal fixation, which leads to a high ratio of risk to cure, and brings extreme pains to patients. In 1970s, Mr. Bassett from Colombia University took the lead in using pulsed electromagnetic fields for fracture therapy, and confirmed pulsed electromagnetic fields could help to heal fractures. Pulsed electromagnetic fields presents many perfect performances in fracture treatments such as that it causes no other injury, is easy to be operated, has wide application, and has no complications, etc.. Pulsed electromagnetic fields’ positive performances are free from time of fractures, injury of skin or nerve, age and gender of patients, and times of failure in operation, etc., especially for local infection. During last 30 years, as the non-invasive therapeutics, pulsed electromagnetic fields has been applied to clinical medicine successfully with perfect results. However, it’s functioning mechanism is still unclear, mainly includes piezoelectric effect theory, calcium ion deposition theory and secondary messengers theory. It’s therapeutic efficacy is also affected by pulsed electromagnetic fields’ parameters, such as frequency, intensity and wave form. This paper presents the development of pulsed electromagnetic fields’ positive performance in fractures treatments through following four aspects: cell experiment study, animal experiment study, clinical application study, and functioning mechanism, analyses all factors that affect pulsed electromagnetic fields’performance, and then expands several issues needing further study and future development of pulsed electromagnetic fields application in fracture therapy.
