TiB2/C阴极铝电解槽过电压研究

摘要:本文通过对不同电解质成分及不同TiB2/C涂层配比条件下,电解过程的阳极过电压和阴极过电压实验研究,得出:在相同电解温度下,电解槽阴极过电压随分子比的升高而降低。阴极涂层中TiB2含量对阴极过电压有着显著影响。随TiB2含量增加,涂层抵抗NaF和Na离子渗透能力加强,导致阴极表面Na离子层加强,阴极过电压增加。阴极过电压与阴极电流密度也遵循Tafel方程,但Tafel方程的斜率和截距都明显小于阳极过电压Tafel 方程中的斜率和截距。另外,从测试结果看,实验室电解槽上的阴极过电压比现行工业电解槽的阴极过电压高,这是由于实验室电解槽中不存在剧烈的熔体流动,不能给离子层以扰动的原因。

Study of Anodic and Cathodic Overvoltage on Aluminum Reduction Cells with TiB2/C Cathode
Abstract:The anodic overvoltage and cathodic overvoltage is studied in lab cell with bath of different composition and with TiB2/C coating of different proportions. It is shown that with the increasing of bath ratio under the same temperature, cathodic overvoltage decreases. It is found that TiB2 content in coating has big influence on cathodic overvoltage. With the increasing of TiB2 content in coating,its ability of anti-penetration against Na increases. As a result,Na+ layers become denser and thicker and consequently cathodic overvoltage increases. Cathodic overvoltage and current density fulfill Tafel equation. However,the slope and interception are obviously smaller than those in Tafel equations of anodic overvoltage. Additionally, cathodic overvoltages measured in lab cells are higher than those from commercial cells because there are no strong disturbances from melt flow in lab cells.
