Fuzzy Scheduling Strategy of Optimal Dot Patterns for Liquid-crystal Display Backlight Light Guides

Abstract:This paper proposes a fuzzy strategy for the generation of the dot pattern, in order to effectively integrate the dot pattern scheme into the subsequent optical design phase for the optimization of the dot distribution. The fuzzy dot-generation strategy is based on the fuzzy logic and rules, which are closely related to the physical luminance properties. Furthermore, the optical performance of the backlight system is presented. The validity of the proposed solution is confirmed through a series of simulations. The results reveal that the proposed method can achieve an even luminance condition by establishing a dot pattern. Compared to conventional methods, the fuzzy dot-generation strategy has two advantages. It effectively integrates the dot generation scheme into the subsequent optical design phase to make the dot pattern more efficient and easy to control. Moreover, luminous intensity variations across the surface are typically minor.

模糊策略在导光板散射网点设计中的应用
摘要:为了更有效的优化液晶背光模块的网点布局结构,使之很好的与后续光学结构设计结合为一体,提出了使用模糊策略对生成导光板散射网点进行设计。模糊策略生成网点设计基于模糊逻辑规则,这种模糊逻辑和光学照明特性存在一定的逻辑关系。在运用这种规则进行设计的时候,导光板系统的光学性能将包含在内进行分析和优化。再通过进行仿真实验,验证了这种网点设计方法的可行性,获得了均匀性较好的输出亮度分布结果。与传统方法比较,模糊策略生成网点设计可以在整个光学系统设计阶段实现中实现有效设计和控制,同时,设计结果使得导光板尽可能减小了表面光强变化的幅度,加强了光照均匀性。
