多子阵高分辨海底地形探测算法及其FPGA和DSP阵列实现

摘要:针对多波束测深系统中高分辨海底地形探测问题,提出一种基于多子阵波束域MUSIC算法(简称MSB-MUSIC),它将多子阵波束域算法的稳健性与MUSIC算法的高分辨特性相结合,从而实现高分辨海底地形探测算法。同时针对高分辨算法运算量大难以实时实现的问题,设计了由6片DSP和两片FPGA(现场可编程门阵列)组成的并行处理系统,并且在充分分析该算法的计算量与分布基础上,提出基于FPGA和DSP阵列的算法实时实现方法。海底仿真场景验证了算法的有效性,湖上试验结果表明:20米水深情况下,算法能够有效探测出直径40cm的钢球。

Implementation of High Resolution Sea Bottom Terrain Detection Method Based on FPGA and DSP Array
Abstract:To the problem of high resolution seabed terrain detection using multi-beam bathymetry system, a method of multiple sub-array space MUSIC (MSB-MUSIC) was proposed. This method combines the robustness of beam-forming and the high resolution character of space modeling, so can be used to effectively implement high resolution seabed terrain detection. At the same time, to solve the problem of the huge computation load, a parallel processing platform using 6 DSPs and 2 FPGAs was designed and implemented. And real-time implementation method using this parallel processing platform was proposed based on the analysis of the distribution of the algorithm computation. The seabed simulation proved the validity of the method and the lake test shows that MSB-MUSIC algorithm can effectively detect the 40 cm diameter underwater iron ball in the 20 meters depth situation.
