GPRS技术应用于ETC系统的研究

摘要:本文利用GPRS的无缝覆盖以及良好的数据传输能力,将GPRS技术与电子收费(ETC,Electronic Toll Collection)系统相结合,实现电子自动收费, 即车辆可以以一定的速度通过收费口, 无须在收费站前停车交费。通过GPRS网络将数据传递给后台系统进行数据的集中处理和分析,并将分析之后的结果通过无线网络及时快速的反馈给使用者。这样不仅节省了建设专用网络及维护的成本,而且充分利用了GPRS所特有的优势——处理简短突发的数据传输业务。

THE RESEARCH ON GPRS FOR ETC SYSTEM
Abstract:This paper skillfully combines GPRS and ETC. In ETC system, with the seamless network and great ability of data transmission of GPRS, electronic automatic toll collecting can be well assured, namely that users don’t need to stop the cars to pay the tolls , and the vehicles can go through the charge entrance with the certain speed. Through GPRS network, data are transmitted to the background system for the centralized processing and analysis of data, and the analysis reports will be promptly feed back to users. It not only saves the cost of constructing dedicated network and the maintenance, but also makes best use of the GPRS unique characteristics——the short-and-sudden data transmission.
