视觉无损图像压缩算法研究及实现

摘要:视觉无损的图像压缩技术是数字图像压缩领域新的研究热点,它是基于人体视觉系统,将图像信息根据人眼视觉特性区别对待,从而提高压缩比,而不影响图像的视觉效果。基于小波变换的视觉无损压缩是目前最为常见的研究方向。本文在分析图像数据压缩技术发展历程和现状的基础上,针对传统压缩技术的局限性,引入了新的基于人类视觉视觉系统的压缩算法思想,研究了相关的视觉特性及模型。在传统的嵌入式零树算法图像压缩基础上提出了一种引入视觉特性的嵌入式零树算法,对比了传统压缩算法与引入视觉特性算法的压缩特性与图像质量,并对算法的实用性做出了简单的分析。

Study and Implement of the Algorithms of Visual Lossless Image Compression
Abstract:Among the mass algorithms related to image compression, visual lossless compression is the newest and most attractive topic, which is based on vision properties of human visual system (HVS). It can improve the compression ratio without deteriorating image quality, and wavelet transform is always used in visual lossless compression. In this thesis, the development of image compression technologies was discussed. Considering the limitations of traditional algorithms, a new method was introduced, which is based on human visual system. Human visual system models were studied in detail. Based on Matlab, a traditional image compression algorithm of EZW was employed and was extended with a visual model. Using the standard test images (Lena and tire) as the input of the algorithms, traditional EZW algorithm and the improved one were compared in compression ratio and image quality. The application possibilities were analyzed.
