非标准扫描轨道HRT小动物SPECT活体成像方法研究

摘要:在分子影像学中,正电子发射断层成像(positron emission tomography, PET)单光子发射断层成像(single photon emission computed tomography, SPECT)因其功能成像特性及高检测灵敏性倍受瞩目。为了在基于PET固定探测器和槽缝式准直器的小动物PET/SPECT双功能成像系统上实现SPECT的动物活体成像,本文研究了一类结合平移运动和有限角度旋转运动的非标准扫描轨道HRT(hybrid rotation translation)。通过定义采样完整度和采样均匀度指标,评价了不同平移和旋转运动组合的10种非标准扫描轨道在物体不同位置的表现,给出最佳轨道选择方案,并进行10种HRT轨道的蒙特卡罗模拟成像实验,理论分析和蒙特卡罗模拟结果都表明上述HRT方案在相同采集时间下可获得不差于传统圆轨道的成像质量。

Assessment of in vivo animal SPECT imaging based on nonstandard scan schemes of HRT
Abstract:Positron emission tomography(PET) and Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) are a key component in molecular imaging for its functional imaging and high detection sensitivity characteristics. A small animal SPECT system has been developed based on a fixed commercial animal PET scanner and a slit-slat collimator insert. In order to enable in vivo animal imaging on this system, a class of non-conventional scanning orbits, which is hybrid of translational and limited-angle rotational movements of the imaging object(HRT), was studied. By assessing the sampling completeness and sampling uniformity, we investigated the performances on varied positions of the imaging object of ten different non-traditional HRT orbits which are the combination of 2 translational orbits and 5 rotational orbits, and the optimal orbits were suggested. SPECT imaging studies were performed with Monte Carlo simulated data to evaluate these 10 orbits. Theoretical results and Monte Carlo imaging results showed no image quality loss as compared to those with a conventional rotation scan.
