Prewitt图像边缘检测及边缘细化的FPGA实现

摘要:针对实时图像处理的要求,本文使用FPGA对图像数据流进行在线Prewitt边缘检测。目前,基于模板卷积的图像边缘检测技术在FPGA上的实现已有相关研究,但对阈值的求取和边缘细化的研究较少。本文针对传统算法需要人工给定阈值和产生的边缘较宽的不足,用基于FPGA的自适应阈值算法和非极大值抑制方法对边缘检测的结果进行细化处理,提高了边缘检测的精度。

FPGA Implementation of Prewitt Edge Detection and Edge Thinning
Abstract:For real-time image processing requirements, this paper presents a FPGA-based design of online Prewitt edge detection to process the image data streams. At present, there has been some relevant research on the FPGA implementation of the edge detection technology based on the template image convolution, but there is less study on the threshold calculation and the edge thinning. For the shortage that the traditional algorithm needs a given threshold manually and produces wide edge, a method of adaptive threshold and non-maximum supression based on FPGA is used. The method thinning the results of edge detection, improve the accuracy of edge detection.
