长石微粉硬脂酸表面改性研究

摘要:为提高长石微粉在聚合物材料及涂料体系中的相容性和分散性,需要对长石微粉进行表面改性处理。本文用硬脂酸对长石进行表面液相改性,通过活化指数、粘度和吸油值等手段对改性效果进行评价,探讨其最佳改性工艺条件。试验结果表明,当硬脂酸用量为1.5%,改性时间为2h,反应温度为40℃,浆料浓度为11.1%时,改性效果达到最佳,长石微粉活化指数由原来的0.0275上升到1,即为完全活化,粘度降为54mPa.s,吸油量由原来的35.95 g/100g降为26.2 g/100g,微粉表面由原来的亲水变为疏水。

Study on the surface modification of feldspar powder by stearic acid
Abstract:In order to improve the dispersion and compatibility of feldspar powders in polymer materials and coating system, the feldspar powders need to be surface modified. In present work, stearic acid was used to modify the powders in solution, and the activation ratio, viscosity and oil absorption were evaluated. The optimum conditions for stearic acid was explored. It was found that when the amount of stearic acid was 1.5%, the modify time was 2h, the reaction temperature was 40℃, and the concentration of the slurry was 11.1%, the modification effect of feldspar powders achieved the best that the activation coefficient of feldspar rose from 0.0275 to 1, so it is fully activated, the viscosity was 54mPa.s, and the oil absorption was from 35.95g/100g down to 26.2g/100g. The surface of naturally hydrophilic feldspar was modified to hydrophobic.
