VoIP语音编码技术研究与基于ARM的声码器架构设计

摘要:语音编解码技术是VoIP通信的关键技术之一,它是IP网络承载实时音频信息流的基础。语音编码技术可以被分为波形编码和参数编码两大类,国际电信联盟(ITU,International Telecommunication Union)制定的G.711、G.729、G.723.1是目前使用最为广泛的语音编码技术的协议标准。声码器是进行语音压缩编码的器件,传统声码器的设计都是基于专用DSP(Digital Signal Processing)芯片的。鉴于ARM处理器高性能、低成本、低功耗的特点,使用ARM取代DSP成为了声码器设计的一个新的参考方向。

VoIP Codec Technology Research and Architecture Design of Voice-coder based on ARM Processor
Abstract:Voice Codec Technology is one of the most important technologies in VoIP field, and it is the basic stuff for real-time voice information to spread on IP network. Voice Codec Technology can be divided into categories: Waveform Codec and Parameter Codec, and G.711, G.729, G.723.1 codec protocols established by ITU are in common usage nowadays. Voice-coder or vocoder is the device which plays code compression of voice signal, and traditional vocoder design is mostly based on specific DSP chip. Considering such feature as high performance, low cost and low power consumption of ARM processor, replacing DSP with ARM becomes a referred direction of vocoder design.
