硅基直接甲醇燃料电池组的研制

摘要:本文设计了一种基于“扭曲带状结构”的硅基平面式直接甲醇燃料电池组结构,相邻单池之间的串联通过单池间镀有金薄膜的共用双极板来实现,此连接方式能有效的减小电连接部分所占用的空间及接触电阻。利用微机械电子系统(Microelectromechanical Systems, MEMS)技术实现了这种燃料电池组的结构,并在常温常压下对有效面积为64mm×11mm的电池组样品进行了性能测试。电池组的开路输出电压为2.7V,最大输出功率密度为2.2mW/cm2。

A SILICON-BASED DIRECT METHANOL FUEL CELL STACK
Abstract:A design configuration is presented for integrated series connection of silicon-based micro direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) in a planar array. The series path is oriented in a \\\\\\\"flip-flop\\\\\\\" configuration with electrical interconnections made by thin-film metal layers that coat the flow channels etched on the silicon substrate, presenting the unique advantage of small connection space and low connecting resistance. The MEMS fabrication process was adopted to fabricate the silicon plates of the DMFC. The electrical characterization of this DMFC stack with the active size of 64mm×11mm is carried out at room temperature. The experimental results show the prototype is able to generate an open-circuit voltage of 2.7V and a maximum power density of 2.2mW/cm2.
