Research of business component in complex product integrated design system

Abstract:Large complex product development has the characteristics of high manufacturing costs, large physical size, uniqueness, high investment costs, long manufacturing times and engineering complexity in terms of design features, configuration and performance. Aerodynamic design of aero turbine engine is a complex process that involves various scientific computing packages of diverse engineering disciplines. It often requires large-scale computational and data storage resources which are globally distributed. Modular and software dynamic registry mechanism are needed for efficient management of computational resources and data. Business components are introduced in integrated management system for aerodynamic design of aero turbine engine (IMS-DATE) to deal with those difficulties. Based on detail descriptions of this project background, the applications of business component in this system are depicted. Several key technologies of business component are discussed, including version management component design, hierarchical software registry, general software encapsulation and parameter parsing.
