Preparation of hollow TiO2 particles in ionic liquid and its photocatalytic performance

Abstract:Hollow TiO2 nanoparticles have been successfully prepared in a room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) of 1-buty-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoraborate ([Bmim]BF4) system. The effect of thermal treatment on morphology and phase was investigated. The morphology of anatase particles varied greatly depending on the temperature of thermal treatment, but the anatase phase are stable up to 800℃. The photocatalytic activity of the samples were tested for the degradation of rhodamine B. The hollow TiO2 nanoparticle prepared with ionic liquid have higher photocatalytic activity, and hollow TiO2 nanoparticle calcined at 450℃ show a better photocatalytic performance than the others.

摘要:利用溶剂热法在离子液体1-丁基-3-甲基咪唑四氟硼酸盐([Bmim]BF4)中合成了中空结构的二氧化钛纳米颗粒,并研究了所合成二氧化钛纳米颗粒的热稳定性。结果发现:二氧化钛纳米颗粒的形貌随着热处理温度的升高而发生变化,但锐钛矿相的稳定性较好,即使热处理温度高达800℃也没有发生转化。同时以光催化降解罗丹明B染料为模型考察了二氧化钛的光催化活性,结果发现,二氧化钛均有较好的光催化活性,尤其是在450℃热处理所得二氧化钛。
