植物DNA甲基化变异:研究进展

摘要:生物适应性进化过程不仅仅遗传了以DNA序列为基础的编码信息,而且在一定程度上继承了与环境经历相关的基因表达信息。DNA甲基化是表观遗传修饰的一种重要形式,在生物快速适应环境变化和表型进化过程中发挥着重要作用。DNA甲基化赋予物种一种主动拓展自身生境的能力和可能性。本文首先介绍植物DNA甲基化的建立和维持机制以及DNA甲基化在植物基因组中的分布情况,然后讨论植物DNA甲基化的组织或器官特异性以及甲基化的可遗传性。在此基础上,探讨了植物DNA甲基化的生态和进化意义。

DNA Methylation in Plants: Current Advances
Abstract:The evolutionary process of plants not only inherited the DNA sequence coding information, but also the gene expression information associated with the special environmental variation. The DNA methylation-based epigenetic modification might play an important role in coping with quick environmental changes and in phenotypic evolution process. The DNA methylation-mediated plasticity phenotype confer the species active capacity to expand their habitats and to accordingly expand their niche. In this paper, we first introduced the establishment and maintenance mechanisms of DNA methylation and the distribution of DNA methylation in plants genomes, and then discussed whether the DNA methylation are tissue- or organ-specific in plants, and whether the methylation modification can be inherited. Finally, we briefly discussed the ecology and evolutionary implications of DNA methylation in plants.
