基于概率神经网络的人脸图像识别

摘要:本文介绍了概率神经网络的算法原理及其在人脸图像识别的应用。人脸图像经过小波分解和离散余弦变换后,将提取的图像特征值分别送入BP神经网络、LVQ神经网络与PNN神经网络进行图像识别。利用ORL人脸图像数据库进行仿真实验,通过分析这三种神经网络的仿真结果和识别率,得出了在应用这三种神经网络进行图像识别时应注意的方面及在人脸图像识别时PNN神经网络可作为首选。

Research of Face Image Recognition Based on Probabilistic Neural Networks
Abstract:This paper introduces the principle of probabilistic neural networks (PNN) algorithm and its application in face image recognition. After wavelet decomposition and discrete cosine transform, the image features of face image are extracted. Then the features are sent respectively into BP neural networks, LVQ neural networks and PNN neural networks for image recognition. ORL face image database is used in simulation experiments. Through analyzing the simulation results and recognition accuracy of three neural networks, conclusion of when applying the three kinds of neural networks in image recognition are obtained, and PNN neural networks can be the first choice.
