P2P视频直播系统中同步延迟的区分服务方案设计

摘要:对于视频直播系统,保持较小的同步延迟对于用户的观看体验非常重要。本文研究P2P网络中的视频直播同步延迟问题,并提出一种新的分层方案。该方案以一种分层的结构来设置节点的同步延迟,从而为不同节点提供区分服务。方案的主要特点是采用虚拟树来设置延迟,并采用网状结构来分发数据。实验结果表明,与传统的方案相比,本文提出的方案可以在服务器资源受限的情况下提供更小的平均延迟,并为不同优先级的节点提供区分服务。

Differentiating the Playback Lag for P2P Live Video Streaming
Abstract:Achiving small playback lag in live streaming is critical for some urgent and interactive applications. In this paper, we present a scheme to address the playback lag problem in P2P live streaming systems. Instead of deploying a large initial offset to all the users, the scheme seeks the possibility of initializing users with layered proportional initial scheduling point and thus obtain differentiated playback lag service among the system. The simulation studies show that the scheme is able to take full advantage of a limited pool of server bandwidth to support peer-assisted live streaming with prioritized playback lag, and could achieve shorter average playback lag compared with synchronized strategies.
