P2P实时流媒体缓冲区的动态管理

摘要:P2P实时流媒体在互联网上已经得到了广泛应用。但由于P2P网络的不稳定性和差异性,导致视频流在播放的过程中存在丢帧、等待和画面抖动等播放连续性问题,这些问题将严重影响用户体验 (UE, User Experience)。针对P2P实时流媒体播放的连续性问题,本文介绍了一种缓冲区位图虚拟矩阵(BBVM,Buffer Bitmap Virtual Matrix)的数据结构,用来描述peer以及其邻居peers的缓冲区中可用数据块状态。此外,我们提出了一个缓冲区的动态管理策略,TMAP(The Most Appropriate Position),用来寻找最合适的Buffer offset,即同步缓冲区窗口的最佳位置。仿真实验表明,TMAP策略在动态的网络环境中,其播放的连续性和适应性都表现出了很好的性能。

Dynamic Buffer Management in P2P Live Streaming
Abstract:P2P real-time streaming Media has been widely used on the Internet. However, the instability and differences of the P2P networks lead to frames dropping, waiting, screen shaking and other problems, which seriously affect the user experience. To solve the P2P real-time streaming media playing continuity problem,this paper proposes a data structures of a buffer bitmap virtual matrix (BBVM) to describe a peer and its neighbor peers available data block status in its buffer, and a dynamic buffer management strategies- The Most Appropriate Position (TMAP),used to find the most appropriate Buffer offset,or the best location of sync buffer. Simulation results show that a dynamic network environment with TMAP strategy has a good performance in continuity and adaptability during playing.
