3G无线路由器三段时延测试方法与分析

摘要:本论文,首先介绍一种无线网络应用场景,该场景结合WIFI网络与3G网络来实现数据包在终端与互联网之间的传输。通过这个网络场景,可以解决传统无线网络传输距离受限以及用户数受限的缺点。同时,通过测试该网络场景的不同分段时延值有利于对网络的资源管理、拥塞控制、网络性能和路由器优化有一个更深入的了解,但是传统时延测试普遍存在NTP时间同步的问题,这会导致误差的存在。本论文针对该网络场景的时延测试提出一种新的时延测试方法,该方法大大降低了时间同步的误差,最后通过测试案例以及测试结果来验证测试的准确性以及简便性,并分析该网络的网络性能。

Three Latency Measuring and Analysis in 3G WIFI Router
Abstract:In this paper, we will introduce a new wireless network scenario, which connects Wi-Fi network and the 3G network together to relay packets from the terminal to the Internet. The new network scenario can compensate some shortcomings of the traditional wireless network, for example it can extend the transmission distance and serve more users. Measuring latency for the new network scenario can play a significant role in resource management, congestion control, network performance monitoring and Mobile Router optimization. When it comes to latency measurement, existing solutions normally require the time synchronization using Network Time Protocol(NTP), which will introduce inaccuracy and much more costs. In this paper we will propose a new latency measurement approach to measure latency for the new network scenario. The experiment results show that our approach is feasible and better performed, we will also analyse the performance of the network.
