An enhanced bidimensional empirical mode decomposition algorithm based on wavelet transform for SAR internal solitary images

Abstract:Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) produces ocean SAR solitary imageswhich include the information of internal solitary waves (ISWs), surface wave, terraininfo and noise.Based on wavelet transform (WT) and bidimensionalempirical mode decomposition (BEMD), we give a new algorithm, named wBEMD,to obtain information of ISWs from the SARimages, and apply it on two SAR images to extract ISWs features.The ISWs information layer obtainedfrom wBEMD shows more intact ISW features, fromwhich we retrieve the characteristic width and phase velocity ofISWs and analyse other detailed information. The closeness betweenthe retrieved parameters and observed data verifieswBEMD's practicability.

用于内孤立波SAR 图的基于小波变换的增强二维经验模态分解算法
摘要:由合成孔径雷达~SAR 拍摄产生的海洋内孤立波SAR 图包含着内孤立波信息,海表面波信息,地形信息以及噪声等信息,大量存在的其他信息不利于对内孤立波信息的处理和分析。本文提出了一种基于小波变换的增强的二维经验模态分解算法wBEMD,在BEMD 算法的基础上提升了图像处理效果,并较好地解决了图像处理失真的情况。实验部分选取了两幅于近期拍摄的中国南海真实SAR 图进行处理,经过wBEMD 处理后的图像包含了较为单一完整的内孤立波信息,非常有利于提取其特征信息,实验反演得到了其特征宽度和相速度。实验结果表明处理第一幅SAR 图后的得到的参数与该海域实测数据很接近,这验证了wBEMD 算法的可行性和实用性。
