基于IEEE802.15.4协议的CSMA/CA机制的改进

摘要:IEEE802.15.4是供低速率、低功耗和低成本设备使用的短距离无线通信协议,定义了低速无线个域网(Low Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks,LR-WPANs)的物理层和媒体接入控制子层(Media Access Control,MAC)层规范。在无线个域网的应用中,实时性和能量消耗往往是备受关注的问题。基于时隙的载波侦听多址接入/冲突避免(Carrie Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoid,CSMA/CA)机制的改进退避算法,节点在执行CSMA/CA时根据过去竞争信道的情况,采用相应的退避策略动态的控制节点的退避范围,以达到改善网路性能的目的。通过NS-2进行仿真,结果表明,新的算法与传统的退避算法相比,在网络负载变化的情况下,可以有效的减少时延,提高网络的吞吐量,同时降低网络的能量消耗。

Improved CSMA/CA Mechanism for IEEE802.15.4 protocol
Abstract:In this paper,IEEE 802.15.4protocol is introduced.IEEE 802.15.4 is a wireless communication protocol that is used for low rate,low power consumption and low speed called LR-WPAN.It only defines the physical layer and Media Access Control sublayer specification. In WPAN applications,real time and energy consumption are often the problem of concern.Based on timeslot carrier sense multiple access with collision avoid (CSMA/CA)mechanism,an improved algorithm is presented,where the node in the execution of CSMA/CA can adopt the corresponding strategy to control its backoff period according to the past competition.Through the NS-2,the simulation results show that the new algorithm can achieve a better network perfomance than the traditional.It can effectively reduce the delay,increase network throughput, and reduce energy consumption at the same time.
