EZW在图像压缩中的应用

摘要:由于图像数据量的巨大会使图像在存储和传输过程中受到制约,所以图像压缩成为必然。EZW广泛应用于图像压缩,它利用小波变换后的子图像具有自相似特点,并且变换后大部分的能量都集中在几个系数上,为大幅度的压缩提供了可能,同时,不同级间相应位置上的系数之间有较强的相关性。通过与用二维小波变换图像压缩相比较,用Matlab软件进行仿真试验,试验结果表明, EZW在图像压缩中的应用简单方便、效果好、有很强的实用价值。

Application of EZW in Image Compression
Abstract:Since the huge amount of image data makes the image storage and transmission process in restricted, the image compression inevitable.EZW is widely used in image compression, it using wavelet transformation of the image is the son after the similar characteristics, and transform the energy of on a few coefficient to greatly compression to provide the possibility, at the same time, between the corresponding position of coefficient there is a strong link. Exper imental results show that it is practical, simple, convenient and effective, and has a strong practical value and a good application prospects for the wavelet transform in digital image processing .
