基于PPM调制技术的紫外光无线通信研究

摘要:针对日盲紫外光无线通信特点,对使用脉冲位置调制(PPM)技术的直视紫外光无线通信系统性能进行了研究。对单脉冲位置调制(L-PPM)和采用添加七个保护时隙、可重叠系数N=8的可重叠脉冲位置调制(OPPM)进行了对比分析。搭建了紫外光无线通信系统硬件平台,并采用直视(LOS)通信方式,对两种调制方式在不同通信速率、不同通信距离下的误码率(BER)进行了测试。结果表明:在同一调制方式和通信距离下,通信速率越低,误码率越低;相同通信速率和通信距离下,相比于L-PPM,采用的OPPM可以有效克服多径效应的影响从而降低系统误码率。

Research on ultraviolet wireless communication based on PPM
Abstract:Considering the solar-blind ultraviolet wireless communication features, this paper presents a detailed study on the use of pulse position modulation(PPM) technology into UV line-of-sight(LOS) wireless communication. Comparative analysis is carried out between single pulse modulation(L-PPM) and overlapping pulse position modulation(OPPM) with seven protection time-slot and overlaop coefficient N=8. The UV wireless communication system hardware platform is setted up to test the bit error rate(BER) under the different communication distance and communication rate by using the two kinds of modulation mode. The results show that: in the same modulation mode and communication distance, the communication rate is lower, the lower the error rate; under the same communication rate and distance, the OPPM can effectively overcome the influence of the multipath effect and reduce the system BER compared with L-PPM.
