TRMM卫星观测闪电对亮温响应特征的个例分析

摘要:本文利用TRMM卫星的降水雷达(PR)、微波成像仪(TMI)和闪电成像仪(LIS)的观测资料,通过对冰雹、暴雨、台风三种不同天气过程的个例分析,研究闪电活动对TMI 85GHz亮温的响应特征。结果表明闪电频数与亮温呈负相关关系,闪电频数与PR 2km高度降水率呈正相关关系,结果同时给出了不同天气过程中闪电对亮温、降水率响应特征的异同,丰富了对雷电与对流、降水关系的认识,对强对流天气的预警预报也有指导意义。

Case Study of the Responses of Lightning to Brightness Temperature from TRMM Satellite Observation
Abstract:In this paper, investigations have been conducted to study the responses of lightning activities to brightness temperature at TMI 85GHz though the case studies of hailstorm, heavy precipitation and typhoon by means of using the combined data from the precipitation radar (PR), microwave imager (TMI), and Lightning Imaging Sensor (LIS) on the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite. The analysis results show that it was a negative correlation between lightning frequency and brightness temperature at TMI 85GHz, and a positive correlation between lightning frequency and precipitation rate at PR 2km height. Meanwhile, the results also show the similarities and differences in the response of lightning to brightness temperature and precipitation rate during hailstorm, heavy precipitation and typhoon, which enrich our understanding of the relationship between lightning, convection and precipitation and also provide significant guidance to early-warning and forecasting of severe weather.
