一种端口交换网络架构研究

摘要:本文重点研究向量交换技术与IP骨干网的融合,提出端口交换网络架构的概念。端口交换网络架构控制面与数据面分离,在控制面利用IP协议收集路由信息以及我们新定义的协议为数据面分组转发服务;在数据面分组携带路径上经过的所有网络节点的出端口号序列,用端口ID分析器来替代路由表的查找操作,简化分组交换过程,提高转发速度。实验结果显示,在相同的理想条件下,端口交换网络端到端时延基本上是IP网络的1/2,从整个网络运行的角度证明了端口交换技术应用到IP骨干网的想法是可行的,端口交换网络确实能提供较高且比较稳定的转发性能。

Interface Switching Network Architecture Research
Abstract:IP network FIB look-up operation for packet forwarding has been the router performance bottleneck, while Interface Switching technology can avoid the look-up operation .Paper focuses on the mergence of Interface Switching technology and IP backbone network. We put forward the concept of Interface Switching Network Architecture in which control plane is separated from data plane. The control plane uses IP protocol to collect routing information and the new protocols we defined to serve data plane packets forwarding; As to data plane, packets carry Interface Sequence information of the path, we use Interface ID parser to replace the FIB look-up operation, which makes packet switching much easier and faster. Under the same ideal experiment condition, the experiment results show that interface switching network End-to-End delay is only half of that of IP network, which proved the idea of merge vector switching technology with IP backbone network is feasible. Interface switching network can provide a higher and more stable forward performance.
