LIGO S6 及四激光干涉仪对残余引力波的限制

摘要:目前国际上有LIGO H1, L1,VIRGO等激光干涉引力波探测器正在运转,还有其他探测器也在计划或调试中。若将多个干涉探测器的数据关联,其探测能力比起两干涉仪要有所提高,对宇宙残余引力波给出更严格的限制。我们把四个探测器按照"多对"和"四关联体"这两种方法组合,分别计算出其信噪比。这里采用LIGO S5 以及更新的LIGO S6的数据,VIRGO的 VSR2运行数据,以及KAGRA和AIGO的设计数据。结果表明,S6探测残余引力波的能力比S5有了较显著提高。我们还利用四探测器对残余引力波的张量-标量比r给出限制。

Constraints on Relic Gravitational-wave via LIGO S6 and Four Laser Interferomers
Abstract:Currently there are laser interferometric gravitational-wave detectors such as LIGO-H1, L1 and VIRGO, which are running; and other ones under construction or testing. Four correlated interferometers can have improved detection capability than that of two, and give more stringent constraints upon the relic gravitational wave (RGW). We present the signal-noise ratio (SNR) for four detectors, in two different combination: "multiple pairs" and "four-detector correlation". The detection data we use here is the data of LIGO S6, VIRGO VSR2 data and the designing data of KAGRA and AIGO. The results indicate that S6 has more capability to detect RGW than S5. We also give constraints on the tensor-scalar ratio r from 4 detectors.
