可伸缩视频编码服务系统的接入控制研究

摘要:可伸缩视频编码(SVC)是新型网络环境下一种很有前景的编码方式。本文研究了一个可伸缩视频编码服务系统的接入控制问题,考虑到用户退出时所释放的资源可分配给系统内服务质量有待提高的用户,提出了一种在有用户退出时也采取行动的接入控制方案。首先对该接入控制问题建立部分可观Markov决策过程(POMDP)模型,然后通过策略梯度优化方法求解最优策略,最后给出一个仿真实例验证所提方法的有效性。

Admission Control for Service Systems with Scalable Video Coding
Abstract:Scalable Video Coding (SVC) is considered a promising video coding scheme under new network evironment. In this paper, the problems of admission control for service systems with SVC is studied. A new scheme is introduced to allocate resources released by exited user to those whose qualilty of service needs to be improved. Under the POMDP model established for the admission control problem, optimal policy can be solved by policy gradient method. A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
