硫化钼纳米片高效电催化析氢

摘要:钼硫化合物是一类具有潜在应用前景的电催化析氢催化剂。为了进一步提高其活性,人们试图通过调控硫化钼基催化剂的表面结构,使其暴露更多活性位点。本研究将以金属钼和硫脲作为前驱物,利用水热法合成了硫化钼纳米片材料,并详细研究了其组成、形貌、结构以及电催化产氢活性。研究结果表明,生长在钼网上的硫化钼纳米片表现出良好的析氢活性,过电位为120 mV,塔菲尔斜率为46 mV/dec,比生长在钼箔表面的硫化钼纳米片的活性高,这是因为钼网上的硫化钼催化剂的三维超级结构有更大比表面积和更多的活性位点。

Molybdenum sulfide nanosheets as efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction
Abstract:Molybdenum sulfide has been regarded as a promising type of electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). To improve its activity, tremendous efforts have been made to preferentially expose active edge sites of molybdenum sulfide-based catalysts by engineering their surface structure. In this work, molybdenum sulphide nanosheets were synthesized by hydrothermal treatment of Mo mesh in aqueous thiourea solution. Their compositional, morphological and structural properties as well as electrocatalytic activities were investigated in details. The results reveal that molybdenum sulphide nanosheets grown on Mo mesh exhibit an enhanced HER activity with a low onset overpotential of 120 mV and a Tafel slope of 46 mV/dec, which is superior to that of molybdenum sulphide nanosheets grown on Mo foil. The high activity for HER can be due to the superstructure of the catalysts with higher surface area and larger fraction of edge sites.
