初始含水率对膨润土-砂混合物膨胀性质的影响

摘要:通过对高庙子膨润土-砂混合物压实试样进行膨胀试验,研究了初始含水率对混合物试样膨胀性质的影响。膨润土-砂混合物试样的掺砂率分别为0%、10%、20%、30%、40%和50%,初始含水率范围为5%~45%,所制备试样的初始干密度范围为1.30~1.90 g/cm3。试验结果表明,随着初始含水率的增大,混合物试样的膨胀速度减慢。在较低初始含水率范围内,随着初始含水率的增大,最大膨胀力降低;在较高的初始含水率范围内,随着初始含水率的增大,最大膨胀力的值基本不变。另外,初始含水率对最大膨胀力的影响,随试样初始干密度的增大而增大,随试样掺砂率的增大而降低。所以,试样的最大膨胀率随着初始含水率的增大而线性降低;初始含水率对最大膨胀率的影响随着试样初始干密度的降低或掺砂率的增大而降低。

Influence of initial water content on the swelling behaviors of bentonite-sand mixtures
Abstract:The compaction tests on the GMZ bentonite–sand mixtures as backfill/buffer material were conducted and the influence of initial water content on the swelling behaviors were investigated in this paper. The sand addition ratios of the bentonite–sand mixtures are 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%, and initial water contents varied from 5% to 45%. The samples of bentonite-sand mixtures for swelling tests were prepared with various initial dry densities, ranging from 1.30 g/cm3 to 1.90 g/cm3. The laboratory tests indicate that, with the increase of initial water content, the swelling speed for both swelling pressure test and swelling strain test are slowed in the primary stage, The maximum swelling pressure is decreased with the increase of the initial water content in the lower water content range, and remained almost constant in the higher water content range. The effect of initial water content on the maximum swelling pressure is higher with the increase of initial dry density, while it is lower with the increase of sand content ratio. The maximum swelling strain is linearly reduced with the increase of initial water content, and the effect is also lower for samples of lower dry densities and higher sand content ratios.
