A Brief Introduction on Some Mathematical Problems of Surface Superconductivity

Abstract:Surface superconductivity is a very interesting topic in physics, and the mathematical researches on this topic have revealed many faces of the Ginzburg-Landau equations, discovered the effects of domain geometry on the energy functionals, and explored the connections to mathematical problems in several other areas of science. In this note, the mathematical problems on surface superconductivity studied in cite{P1} and several conjectures posed there are briefly introduced, and recent progresses on these problems are outlined. Observations and further problems on the related topics are presented.

摘要:表面超导是非常有趣的物理现象,对它的数学研究揭示了金斯堡-朗道方程的许多重要性质,发现了区域几何对能量泛函的影响,发现了超导与其它领域相关数学问题之间的联系。本文简要回顾了cite{P1}中关于表面超导的一些数学问题的讨论及若干猜想,介绍近年来人们对这些问题的研究进展,并介绍了相关领域中一些需要研究的问题。
