一种基于Sobel算子的动车字符图像分割算法

摘要:针对TEDS中对动车车号的自动识别,本文在Sobel算子的基础上提出一种针对动车字符图像分割的算法,即首先使用Sobel算子提取图像中边缘信息,通过图像的边缘信息初步确定图像中背景区域和目标区域,然后设定滑动窗口分析各个窗口内边缘的信息,根据边缘信息,对图像进行分割。该方法主要考虑到动车字符图像是通过线阵扫描采集,使得光照变化有一定的方向规律,故在该光照变化方向上使用Sobel算子,提取边缘信息,初步定位,这样相对于全局阈值分割算法和一般的局部阈值分割算法,受到光照变化的影响较小。反复实验表明,本文所提出的方法对光照不均条件下动车字符图像分割有较好的效果,为动车字符识别提供较好的图像条件。

An EMU Character Image Segmentation Algorithm Based on Sobel Operator
Abstract:Aiming at the automatic recognition of EMU license characters in TEDS, this paper presents a method of EMU characters image segmentation based on Sobel. Firstly, extract edge information in the image using Sobel operator, initially location the background region and the target region in the image by the edge information of the image, and then set the sliding window analysis the edge information in the window, according to the edge information segment the image. This method considers the EMU characters images are acquired by linear array scanning, makes the law of illumination has a certain direction, so using the Sobel operator to extract edge information in the illumination direction and initial positioning. Relative to the global threshold segmentation algorithm and the local threshold segmentation algorithm, this approach is less affected by the illumination. Repeated experiments showed that this method in uneven illumination conditions has a better effect for the EMU characters image segmentation, and provide better image conditions for character recognition.
