基于小小区开关方案的小区间干扰规避技术评估

摘要:小小区是工作在授权或非授权频段内的低功率节点的总称,它既可以加强运营商的室内覆盖,又能提升热点地区的容量,还能补充盲点地区的覆盖,但是小小区的引入使得移动通信网络更加密集,小区间扰也更加严重,对组网以及系统容量的提升有很大影响。为了有效降低小小区间的干扰,小小区开关机制应运而生,该机制通过控制小小区基站的开启和关闭,达到降低小区间干扰的目的。本文基于系统级仿真分析并评估该机制对当前宏小区与小小区混合组网场景系统性能的影响,仿真结果显示该方案可以为现有系统带来显著的增益。

Evaluation of Small Cell On/off-based Inter-cell Interference Avoidance Technology
Abstract:Small cell is an umbrella term for low power node which works on licensed or unlisensed band. It can strengthen the operator's indoor coverage, improve the capacity of hot spots and reinforce blind area. However, the introduction of small cells makes mobile communication network denser and inter-cell interference more severe, and thus seriously limits the improvement of network and system performance. In order to effectively reduce the inter-cell interference, small cell on/off mechanism is proposed. The mechanism can avoid unnecessary inter-cell interference through controlling the on and off state of small cell. In this paper, system-level simulation is performed to evaluation the impact of small cell on/off mechanism in the scenario of macro cell and small cell heterogeneous network. The simualtion results demonstrate that the mechanism can provide significant gain to system performance.
