Call Admission Control based on Adaptive Channel Reservation and Acceptance Factor in LTE System

Abstract: Utilization of limited channel resources and quality of service (QoS) improvement are vital tasks to current LTE System. With the increase of user data, resources need to guarantee real-time in data transmission efficiently of higher priority services, handover calls in particular. To deal with the problem, different schemes of admission control exist such as fixed guard channel reservation scheme, dynamic channel reservation for handover scheme, etc. These schemes only consider different classes of traffics or give handover call higher precedence, which turn out to be inappropriate for a particular situation. Hence, in our paper, we have combined an adaptive guard channel for multi-class traffic system and an acceptance factor for each class to balance handover calls and new calls. The results prove better performance in handover dropping probability with an increase in the channel utilization at little expense of new lower priority calls.

摘要:有限信道资源的利用率以及服务质量的提升是当前LTE系统的重大难题。随着用户数据量的增加,资源应更好地服务实时业务尤其是切换呼叫业务,以保证高优先级别的数据传输效率。为了解决这个问题,接纳控制采用不同的策略,比如固定的预留保护带宽策略、切换呼叫动态预留保护带宽策略等等。这些策略只考虑了不同类型业务或者是只为切换用户设置较高优先级,这样并不符合实际的应用场景。因此,在我们的论文研究中,不仅为不同类系统业务设置自适应的保护带宽,还在每种业务中设置接纳因子以平衡各业务内的切换呼叫和新呼叫。结果表明,采用该接纳控制方案,牺牲少量低优先级别新呼叫,能使得系统的切换掉话率更低、信道利用率更高。
