不同地理种群灰飞虱滞育性质的差异

摘要:灰飞虱(Laodelphax striatellus)主要发生在温带地区,对水稻、小麦等禾本科作物造成严重的危害。这种飞虱在短光照和低温下以3或4龄若虫进入滞育。为了明确不同地理种群灰飞虱滞育特性的差异,我们比较了不同温度(20℃和27℃)和光周期(LD4:20, LD8:16, LD10:14, LD12:12, LD14:10 和 LD16:8)下三个地理种群灰飞虱若虫的发育速率。这三个地区包括越南河内(21.02 N, 105.85 E), 中国姜堰 (32.51 N, 120.15 E)以及中国吉林 (43.89 N, 125.32 E)。实验结果表明不同地理种群灰飞虱在滞育特性上存在着显著的差异。随着地理纬度的增加,滞育率更高,临界光周期更长。姜堰和长春灰飞虱种群在20℃下临界光周期分别为12h 30min 和13h,27℃下分别为11h 和 11h 20min。明确不同地理种群灰飞虱的滞育特性能够更好地理解昆虫对不同环境的适应性。

Geographic variation of diapause in Laodelphax striatellus Fallén (Hemiptera: Delphacidae)
Abstract:The small brown planthopper, Laodelphax striatellus (Fallén) (Hemiptera: Delphacidae) occurs seriously in temperate regions, causing severe losses in rice, wheat and other crops. The planthoppers enters diapause in the 3rd or 4th instar nymphs induced by short day-length and low temperature. To investigate the geographic variation in L. striatellus diapause, we compared the incidence of nymphal diapause under various constant temperatures (20 C and 27 C) and photoperiods (LD4:20, LD8:16, LD10:14, LD12:12, LD14:10 and LD16:8) regimes among three populations collected from Hanoi (21.02 N, 105.85 E, northern Vietnam), Jiangyan (32.51 N, 120.15 E, eastern China), and Changchun (43.89 N, 125.32 E, northeastern China). Our results indicated there were significant geographic variations in diapause of L. striatellus. With the original latitude of the populations increased, higher diapause incidence and longer critical photoperiod were exhibited. The critical photoperiod of Jiangyan and Changchun populations were approximately 12h 30min and 13h at 20 C, and 11h and 11h 20min at 27 C, respectively. The considerable geographic variations in nymphal diapause of L. striatellus reflect the adaptation in response to a variable environment.
