异构蜂窝网络中小区范围扩张技术研究

摘要:为了满足日益增长的移动数据流量需求,解决方案之一就是部署异构蜂窝网络,即是在现有的宏基站的基础上,叠加部署微基站,通过负载均衡使网络的整体吞吐量得到提升。同时为了将更多的用户从宏小区卸载到微小区,LTE-A引入了小区范围扩张(Cell Range Expansion, CRE)技术。然而CRE的使用,给扩张的微小区用户带来了严重的宏小区干扰,尤其当扩张范围较大时表现更为明显。针对该问题,本文提出了一个联合频率分配与干扰对齐的小区范围扩张方案,提高扩张用户的空间复用增益。仿真结果表明,本文的方案可以显著提高小区用户容量,改善系统的公平性,提升流量卸载性能。

Research on Cell Range Expansion in Heterogeneous Cellular Networks
Abstract:To meet the ever increasing demand for mobile data traffic, one of the solutions is the deployment of heterogeneous cellular networks (HCNs), where small cell base stations (SBSs) coexisting with the existing macro cell base stations (MBSs). Through load balancing, the overall throughput of HCNs can be improved. Meanwhile, in order to offload more users from macrocell to small cell, LTE-A introduces cell range expansion (CRE). The utilization of CRE, however, brings serious macrocell interference to the expanded small cell users, especially when the expansion range is large. Aiming at this problem, we propose a joint frequency allocation (FA) and interference alignment (IA) scheme with CRE in HCNs, improving spatial multiplexing gain of the expansion users. Simulation results show that our scheme significantly enhances the capacity of users, improves system fairness and the performance of traffic offloading.
