基于FPGA的片上网络原型系统设计

摘要:随着半导体制造工艺的进步,硅片上CMOS的集成度变得越来越高,在同一个芯片上可以集成更多的功能单元。片上互连网络(Network on Chip,NoC)将作为系统的通信架构。NoC具有在某些单元损坏或者关断的情况下仍然提供继续工作的能力,从而在互连角度上解决器件失效带来的故障,成为国内外工业界和学术界共同关注的研究热点。本文完成了基于FPGA的可配置片上网络路由器的网络原型系统设计,并在FPGA上构建了2D-Mesh拓扑结构的NoC网络系统,组建了一个256(16x16)核的片上通信网络,采用具备数据打包、解包及统计功能的简单处理核作为数据收发设备,来模拟片上网络通信模式从而验证其通信功能的正确性。

FPGA Based Prototyping of On-chip Network
Abstract:With the advances in semiconductor manufacturing processes, silicon on the chip integration becomes more and more , on one chip it can be integrated more functional units, the future between these units will use the on-chip network for interconnection communication. NoC has the ability to continue to work in the case of some units damaged or shut down, so as to solve the failure of the device failure in the Internet angle, which has become a domestic and foreign industry and academia common concern hotspot. This paper completes the design of the network prototype system of the configurable on-chip network router based on FPGA, and constructs the NoC network system of 2D-Mesh topology on FPGA.A 256 (16x16) The on-chip communication network uses a simple processing core with only data packetization, unpacking and statistical functions as a data transceiver device to simulate the on-chip network communication mode to verify the correctness of its communication function.
