基于序列与结构特征的RNA中IRES元件预测

摘要:内部核糖体进入位点(internal ribosome entry site,IRES)介导的蛋白质翻译起始机制作为一种非帽依赖的起始机制从发现起即受到关注,对它的研究与应用也随着时间不断深入。本文通过研究IRES序列与二级结构信息,筛选出IRES区别于一般非编码区序列的潜在特征(包括二级结构特征,序列一般特征和基序特征等),并利用SVM算法构建出了专门针对病毒与真核来源的IRES预测模型。随后构建相应数据集测试了预测效果并与现有预测软件进行了结果比较,有较好的效果提升。

Prediction of IRES Elements in RNA Based on Sequence and Structure
Abstract:The IRES-initiated protein translation initiation mechanism which serves as a non-cap-dependent initiation mechanism has been focused on and studied since it was found. In this paper, we searched IRES sequences and the secondary structure information for the potential characteristics between IRES and non-coding region of IRES, including the characteristics of secondary structure, sequence general characteristics and motif characteristics. And we used SVM algorithm to construct Virus IRES and Eukaryotic IRES prediction model, respectively. Then the training data set and testing data set are constructed to test the prediction performance which compared with the existing prediction software later. The model was found to perform better than available IRES prediction servers.
