社交媒体隐私政策对比研究-以腾讯和Facebook为例

摘要:社交媒体用户隐私是当前信息管理研究的热点问题之一。海量社交媒体数据是服务商及第三方机构挖掘的金矿,同时也给侵犯个人隐私的违法行为以可乘之机。随着用户隐私意识和维权意识的不断提升,社交媒体服务提供商也在不断改进隐私政策和技术手段给用户提供更好的服务。本文以Facebook和腾讯的隐私政策为例,从信息收集方式、信息收集类型、信息的使用方式和分享方式、信息安全、未成年人隐私政策等角度进行对比分析。研究结果显示,两者的相同点表现在政策覆盖较为全面、描述方式人性化、注重用户反馈。相比之下,腾讯的不足表现在未成年人隐私保护政策单薄、隐私政策结构安排和内容详略不妥、缺失隐私侵犯实例和用户维权途径等方面。

A comparative study of social media privacy policy-In case of Facebook and Tencent
Abstract:Social media privacy is one of the hottest issues in current information management research. Massive data produced in social media is the gold mine which service providers and third-party organizations eager to discover. At the same time, it provides the opportunity for the offender to infringe the privacy of individuals. With the improvement of user privacy awareness and right awareness, social media service providers also constantly improve the privacy policies and technologies to supply users with better service. This article takes Facebook\'s and Tencent\'s privacy statements as an example, and makes analysis from the perspectiA comparative study of social media privacy policy - In case of Facebook and Tencentves, like the approach of information collection, the type of information collection, the methods of information using and sharing, information security, minors privacy policy and so on. The results show that the similarities between the two are in the comprehensive coverage of the policy, the humanized description and paying attention to user feedback.However, comparing with Facebook\'s privacy statement, Tencent\'s privacy policy of minors is thin, the structure and content of privacy statement are both slightly unsuitable, privacy infringement cases and user- rights-protection channels are lack.
