大规模MIMO波束赋形技术性能评估

摘要:随着无线通信技术快速发展,高速数据业务需求日益增加,提升系统吞吐量依然是无线移动通信的重要目标。多天线技术,通过使用波束赋形技术可以有效减小干扰、显著提高频谱效率。波束赋形通过调整每根天线阵元的权值,使波束指向某个特定的方向,获得较大的天线增益。全数字波束赋形可以有效提高吞吐量,但要求每根天线映射一条RF链路,天线数目过多导致硬件结构复杂。在大规模MIMO系统中,混合波束赋形在保证系统性能时,可以降低硬件实现的复杂度。对不同方案进行系统性能评估得出结论:(1)在大规模MIMO系统中,混合波束赋形的频谱效率与全数字波束赋形相差不大;(2)在毫米波场景下,基站和用户均使用混合波束赋形,采用多用户配对调度算法,可以有效提高小区频谱效率。

Performance Evaluation of Massive MIMO Beamforming Technology
Abstract:With the rapid development of wireless communication technology as well as the increasing demand for high-speed data service, improving system throughput is still an important goal of wireless mobile communication. Multi-antenna technology can effectively reduce interference and significantly improve the spectral efficiency by beamforming. Beamforming generates a directional beam by adjusting the weighting coefficient of each array element so that a significant antenna gain can be obtained. Digital beamforming can generate an accurate beam and effectively improve system throughput. However, digital beamfoPerformance evaluation of massiPerformance evaluation of massive MIMO beamforming technologyve MIMO beamforming technologyrming requires that each antenna maps an RF link, and the excessive number of antennas leads to a complicated hardware structure. In massive MIMO system, hybrid beamforming can reduce the complexity of hardware implementation while ensuring system performance. Finally, the system performance under different schemes is evaluated: (1) In massive MIMO system, the results prove that the hybrid beamforming\'s spectral efficiency is not much different from that of the full digital beamforming. (2) In the millimeter wave scenario, both the base station and the user adopt hybrid beamforming and the multi-user pairing scheduling algorithm, which can effectively improve the cell spectral efficiency.
