The effect of massage therapy on muscle tissue pathology and vascular remodeling related growth factors which were on the skeletal muscle fibrosis rabbits

Abstract： Objective: From the perspective of vascular remodeling, to observe the mechanism of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis，which was the massage therapy for skeletal muscle fibrosis. Methods: 24 rabbits were randomly selected to be successful in skeletal muscle fibrosis, and 12 were randomly divided into treatment group and model group. In addition, 12 large white rabbits were randomly selected to be purchased in the same period. Treatment of rabbits in the treatment group was treated with 15min/ time /d, and the other two groups were not treated with special treatment. After 10 days of continuous treatment, to materials of each rabbit, observe the muscle tissue pathological changes, and muscle tissues Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Epidermal growth factor (EGF) and Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) changes in the content. Results: After the treatment of massage, the muscle tissue pathology of rabbits in the treatment group were basically normal, and the exudation of inflammation was basically disappeared, which was significantly different from the model group. The contents of PDGF, VEGF and IGF-1 were significantly increased in the muscle tissues of rabbits in the treatment group, with significant differences compared with those in the model group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the content of EGF in the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Massage therapy has the effect of improving the pathological changes of fibrotic skeletal muscle, and its therapeutic effect is closely related to vascular remodeling related growth factor PDGF, VEGF and IGF-1.
