组蛋白乙酰化在眼前节疾病中的调控作用

摘要:组蛋白乙酰化作为普遍的表观遗传修饰之一,主要由组蛋白乙酰转移酶(histone acetyltransferases,HATs)和去乙酰化酶(histone deacetylases,HDACs)调控,二者的相对平衡是维持机体正常生命活动的重要保证。近来研究表明,组蛋白乙酰化可通过调控组蛋白或转录因子等非组蛋白的乙酰化水平而参与眼病的发生与转归。本文将对组蛋白乙酰化在角膜、晶状体疾病和青光眼中的研究进展进行综述,并着重介绍HDACs及其抑制剂在眼前节疾病中的分子机制,以期为眼病的预防及治疗提供新思路。

The regulatory role of histone acetylation in anterior segment eye diseases
Abstract:Histone acetylation, one of the universal epigenetic modifications, is mainly regulated by histone acetyltransferases (HATs) and histone deacetylases (HDACs). The relative balance between them plays a significant guarantee for the normal life activities. Recent studies have shown that histone acetylation participates in the occurrence and outcome of ocular diseases by regulating the expressions of histones and non-histones such as transcription factors. In this paper, recent advances in the research of histone acetylation in corneal diseases, lens diseases and glucoma are reviewed, with an emphasis on molecular mechanism of HDACs and their inhibitors, to provide new clues for the prevention and treatment of eye diseases.
