基于双空芯光纤的高灵敏度曲率传感器

摘要:提出一种基于双空芯光纤(THF)的高灵敏曲率传感器,由双空芯光纤两端直接熔接单模光纤构成。双空芯光纤是一种石英包层中有两个对称空气孔结构的新型光纤,曲率传感的原理基于双空芯光纤内的多模干涉。曲率传感实验所用的双空芯光纤1 cm长,平行固定在直尺上,当曲率变化范围在2.8~4.5 m-1之间时,实验结果拟合后得到曲率传感灵敏度为-101.487nm/m-1,线性度高达0.99521。基于双空芯光纤的曲率传感器灵敏度高,线性度好,而且结构简单,具有很好的研究和应用价值。

High-sensitive curvature sensor based on twin-hole fiber
Abstract:A high-sensitivity curvature sensor based on twin-hole fiber (THF) is proposed, which is composed of THF directly fused with the single-mode fiber. THF is a new type of fiber with two symmetric air hole structures in the quartz cladding. The principle of curvature sensing is based on multimode interference in THF. The sensor with THF of 1 cm is parallelly fixed on the ruler for curvature sensing experiments. Experimental results show that the sensitivity of the curvature sensor is -101.487 nm/m-1 and linearity is 0.99521 when the curvature varies from 2.8m-1 to 4.5 m-1. The curvature sensor based on THF has high research and application value because of high sensitivity, high linearity and simple structure.
