支持协议无关的ONOS控制器的实现

摘要:OpenFlow协议存在交换机依赖特定协议进行转发的问题,为此华为在2013年提出了协议无感知转发(POF,Protocol-oblivious forwarding)。但其发布的POF控制器只具有最基本的功能,并不能算是真正意义上的POF控制器,并且现有的控制器不支持POF协议。本文通过对开源ONOS控制器进行开发,添加了支持POF协议的设备管理、链路发现、数据包收发等模块,实现了支持POF协议的控制器,使其具有了更高的可编程性和灵活性。实验结果表明,该控制器可以向POF交换机构成的网络中下发自定义协议和相应的流表,实现了对POF网络的管控。

Implementation of Protocol Independent ONOS Controller
Abstract:The OpenFlow protocol has the problem that the switch relies on a specific protocol for forwarding. For this reason, Huawei proposed Protocol-oblivious forwarding (POF) in 2013. However, the POF controller released by it only has the most basic functions, it cannot be regarded as a real POF controller, and the existing controllers do not support the POF protocol. This paper develops over open source ONOS controllers, adds device management, link discovery, data packet transceiving and other modules that support POF protocol, and implements a controller that supports POF protocol, which makes it more programmable and flexible. The experimental results show that the controller can deliver the custom protocol and the corresponding flow table to the network formed by the POF switch, which realizes the control of the POF network.
